Get to know Roberto...

Born in the Philippines and raised in the United States, Roberto is a Prana Flow teacher who has been a devoted student to Shiva Rea since 2005 and an assistant at her retreats and teacher trainings since 2006. Grateful for his teacher’s blessings, he serves the flow via yoga classes & workshops in Boston & the world having taught internationally in Europe & Asia. He believes in Prana Flow as a style of yoga because it emphasizes an embodied life – one that is a living practice of honoring the divinity within and without, attuning to one’s heart through integration of thoughts & feelings for conscious action & evolution, and movement as an expression of the creative life force pulsing within & around us.

How Roberto got into yoga: In 2001, I got into yoga accidentally while visiting my sister in San Francisco who tricked me saying we were going to a gym but taking a hot yoga class at Funky Door Yoga.

Who/what inspires you? Many things inspire me from simplicity and wonder of nature, dancers in embodied movement, and music that captures the emotion of a moment/experience

Fun Facts: Youngest of four children (two older brothers & one sister); studied civil engineering in college; writes left-handed but plays sports right-handed
